The Bear’s Club, 250 Bear’s Club Drive, Jupiter, FL 33410, was founded in 1999 by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus. The land where The Bear’s Club resides was previously owned by John D. McArthur and sat there with cows grazing on it until Jack Nicklaus purchased it with a vision in 1999. The purchased land was divided into two parcels, one becoming the Bear’s Club and the other, originally the Ritz Carlton, is now Trump National Golf Course. The Bear’s Club was conceived to offer members and their guests a private world-class golf and club experience. The Club is designed to realize their vision of creating the finest possible ULTRA private golf club with the highest standards of quality. The Bear’s Club has just 100 home sites (55 estate residences, 17 Golf Villas, 14 Club Villas, and 14 Vintage Estates) and offers a truly unique experience. The 40,000 square foot clubhouse (remember there’s only 100 units) offers unmatched levels of elegance and luxury, all set within a 400 acre community. If you’re looking for a place that offers unparalleled privacy this is it. Looking to golf in the middle of Jupiter where you won’t see anyone else on the course, this is it. It has an 18 hole course, par 72, with 7164 yards and a 146 slope. It’s greens are Bermuda Grass. There is also a driving range. As of today they are at a full member complement and are on a waitlist. The membership fees WERE $90,000 for a Full Golf Membership, 80% refundable and the annual dues are $25,000. They also have a Non Resident Membership, for people that do not own or rent a home within 50 miles of the Club. Several professional athletes currently call the Bear’s Club home.
