Juno Beach is located on a barrier island along the Atlantic Coastal Ridge. A tiny town, its bounded by miles of pristine beach on the east and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway to the west. Located in this intimate area is the famous Seminole Golf Course and most recently an intracoastal development by Toll Brothers aptly named Frenchmans Harbor. Although Juno is one of the earlier settled areas it experienced explosive growth in the 1980s. In fact from 1980 to 1990 the tax base rose from a valuation of $50 million to $400 million. Still, Juno has retained a small town feel of a seaside community which is predominantly residential. Fine oceanfront estates, condos and businesses provide an ideal setting for vacation or permanent residence. Within Juno Beach, activities range from sunbathing, swimming and fishing to walking, jogging and bicycling on its oceanfront bike path. One of the more pleasant things to do is walk around Pelican Lake or try to walk (its more like a hike) the beach from Juno down to MacArthur State Park. The Loggerhead Marine Life Center is located in Juno Beach. The center is free to the public and provides access to viewing turtles and other marine life. It hosts education programs and many fun events. Finally, Juno has several wonderful oceanfront art festivals and more recently it hosted an exciting four day offshore boat racing competition, the Palm Beach Offshore Power Boat Championship.
