I went and looked at the property at 400 Apollo Drive in Juno Beach today.
This is a great deal in my humble opinion. The lot is regular shaped and 100′ x 100′ just one house off of Ocean Drive. Thus it’s close to Ocean and far from the more worrisome road noise on US-1. The basic house is in need of serious love or a total scrape. I do not believe it to be fanciable with a conforming loan in the current condition. The good news, besides the lot size and location, is that the base construction is CBS with a plaster interior wall and the floor plan, although not great, is OK. Unlike the house at 341 Ocean Drive, this home takes better use of the land and has a floor plan that will be OK when completed. The house has a car port with a roof deck over it. One enters though the carport into a small kitchen off a great room that includes an enclosed patio area. Or through the main entrance into the same great room. The house has 3 beds and 2 baths. Sort of odd that the master bath is accessible from what was once the patio but OK. The house has 2 Ac’s which will need to be replaced. No doubt that this house needs a full on renovation including new roof, doors and windows with hurricane protection, kitchen and baths and the roof deck. There’s room in the yard for a pool as well. There is beach access right across the street adjacent to the Beachfront building which is a very private area of the beach. The house on the water side has been renovated and has a second story on only part of the house and thus if one does put a second level on one would see some ocean. Renovations will be extensive but at the end of it you will have a house in Juno in a great location.
